One Pond Can Cost You a Market.
A processor may draw from a large number of ponds across a season, through agents, in lots that are pooled before they reach the plant. Each pond has its own stocking date, its own feed, its own treatment history, its own water source. Much of that is known to the farmer and often to nobody else.
It becomes everybody’s problem further down the chain. A residue finding, a mismatch between claimed and actual origin, or a missing farm registration can quickly become a problem for the consignment, the plant and the exporter.
Buyers have responded by asking for farm-level data before the order, not after the incident. That is a reasonable request and an operationally hard one, because the record has to be created at the pond, by the farmer, in the season, and survive every transfer after that.

Standards and Market Requirements
S360 works with applicable standards, regulations and buyer requirements, including ASC, BAP, SHAPHARI, registration and licensing requirements, residue controls and buyer conditions.

The first record in a seafood chain is made at the pond by a farmer, and the second by an agent at collection. Neither is usually thinking about a buyer audit. Both shape whether the chain remains traceable when a buyer asks for evidence.
